Data export guide · Airbnb

Export your Airbnb history

Download the original Airbnb data package for reservations, messages, reviews, and listings, then add an earnings CSV for transaction-level financial detail.

Before you start

  • Use a desktop browser and sign in to the Airbnb account that owns the listings.
  • Confirm that every listing you need appears under the same account. A co-host may see less history than the listing owner.
  • Decide the date range you need. For an annual ledger, export the entire calendar year and include canceled reservations.
  • Create a secure folder for the downloads. Airbnb account exports can contain guest messages and other personal data.

Step-by-step

Part 1 — Request the full Airbnb data package

This is the richest export. JSON is the best choice for a structured historical import because it preserves separate files for listings, reservations, messages, reviews, and other account data.

  1. 1

    Open Privacy & sharing

On Airbnb desktop, open your profile menu, choose Account, and then open Privacy & sharing.

  2. 2

    Start a personal data request

Find Request your personal data (sometimes shown under data management) and choose the option to request or download your data.

  3. 3

    Choose JSON

When Airbnb asks for a format, select JSON. Do not select HTML for an Action Ledgers historical-data handoff. JSON is structured for machine processing.

  4. 4

    Request the complete account scope

Include all available data and all listings needed for the ledger. Complete the identity or security verification if Airbnb requests it.

  5. 5

Submit and watch for Airbnb’s email

Airbnb prepares the file asynchronously. When it is ready, Airbnb sends an email with a download link. The link is available for a limited time.

  6. 6

Download the ZIP without changing it

Download the .zip file to your secure folder. Keep the original filename, do not unzip it, and do not edit or remove files inside the archive.

Step-by-step

Part 2 — Export the earnings CSV

The earnings report adds reservation-level amounts, host fees, cleaning fees, gross earnings, taxes withheld, adjustments, and payout detail.

  1. 1

    Open Earnings

From Today, open Menu and select Earnings.

  2. 2

    Open Paid earnings

Choose Paid for completed historical transactions. If you also need future confirmed activity, repeat these steps from Upcoming afterward.

  3. 3

    Apply the full scope

Filter by the required date range and select every relevant listing and payout method. For a tax year, use January 1 through December 31.

  4. 4

    Choose Get report

Select Get report, then choose Open on your device or Email your report. Device download is preferable when available.

  5. 5

    Keep all data fields

In Configure your data fields, leave all available fields selected so reservation identifiers, fees, taxes, and payout references remain available for reconciliation.

  6. 6

    Create and save the CSV

Select Create report and save the .csv file as downloaded. Do not open and re-save it as an Excel workbook before the handoff.

If Airbnb limits a report by date or row count, create multiple non-overlapping CSV files and label the folder by year. Do not combine the files manually.

Ready-to-send checklist

  • The Airbnb personal-data download is still a .zip file and was requested in JSON format.
  • The earnings report is a .csv file with its original header row.
  • Every required listing and the full requested date range are included.
  • Canceled reservations, adjustments, and refunds were not filtered out.
  • The files are stored securely and have not been emailed through an unapproved channel.

Action Ledgers handoff

Keep both original files. Action Ledgers can use the Airbnb JSON data ZIP for the broader activity history and the earnings CSV for financial reconciliation.

Troubleshooting

The archive email has not arrived

Check spam and the email address on the Airbnb account. The full data package is not instant; return to Privacy & sharing to check the request before submitting a duplicate.

The ZIP contains HTML instead of JSON

Submit a new personal-data request and explicitly choose JSON. Keep the HTML copy for your own review, but do not substitute it for the structured package.

Some listings or transactions are missing

Verify that you signed in as the listing owner, clear all listing and payout-method filters, and export the missing period separately.
